So we’re playing around with new software and stuff and our content manager made this rough draft to remind everyone to join us tonight for a live interview with author Mark Winkler to talk about his book, his story, and his views on masculinity.
Last night one of our female editors AJ chose to run the Johnny Depp petition for various reasons. There was alot of support for him and that’s okay whether you believe him or not.
There were also the “he’s a woman beater” comments and the “England courts said he did it; he must of done it” comments.
I was not there. AJ wasn’t there. We can’t say 100 percent whether he did or not. We know how false accusations work. We know how there’s two sides to ever story and the one fact that stands out is the recorded audio of Amber Heard telling Depp:
“You can please tell people that it was a fair fight, and see what the jury and judge thinks. Tell the world, Johnny, tell them, Johnny Depp, I Johnny Depp, a man, I’m a victim too of domestic violence.”
I tend to lend credibility to him as those are her words taunting him to be a “man” and say he’s domestically violenced because no one will believe him.
I do not personally know Johnny. I know some of his friends and associates. They say he didn’t do this.
What I do want to bring attention to is a Harvard study that shows women perpetuate 70 percent of all physical domestic violence encounters. That’s not a bash, just their statistic they released in their study.
Most always courts paint men as the abuser. She’s believed and he is not.
He has lost his job. His livelihood. And the evidence points to her as the aggressor. How many fathers can relate to that?
Is Johnny Depp the hill TFRM wants to die on? We can’t. We weren’t there, so absolutely not. But his case is similar to most cases that almost every dad that ever walked into a family court has ever faced and that is we are always guilty unless we can prove otherwise at the say so of another and it cost us dearly whether we are guilty or not - Rosa ...
TFRM as a general rule avoids sharing petitions for multiple reasons. However, there is something that I think most everyone here can get behind; false allegations in court can DESTROY someone’s character, career, relationships, parenting, and most every aspect of one’s life. For that reason we’ve decided to share this one. While we may not be able to stop it from happening to all of us, having the spotlight on a celebrity facing these same issues raises some awareness. & with that: let’s get this to 3 million. -AJ
