Crisis – Support Needed!

Our Crisis Team needs your support!

It has been said that 21 fathers per week take their lives due to child access issues. We cannot verify this statistic because the research has not been done to confirm it. At The Fathers’ Rights Movement, we would argue that 1 death is too many. We know there is research that has been done on male suicide in general, but it does not account for the convenience of a “heart attack” or a “drug overdose” when that male is a father. We also know what leads fathers, specifically, to feel as if they have no other options and no other reason to live.

“Parental Alienation is mourning the death of a child who is still alive”

When a father decides to end his life, the impact is devastating. The sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, parents, friends, acquaintances and extended family members all wish they could have done more to prevent a suicide that ended one man’s pain, but leaves many others hurting. If you have lost someone, you have experienced that feeling.

We have developed a Crisis Team to respond to men experiencing trauma. Society tells us it is not “manly” to feel pain… we politely disagree and offer a solution.

Our Crisis Hotline consists of 15 volunteers who’s phones ring at the exact same time. We are fathers, we are volunteers and we have experienced the same kind of trauma that you have. We understand what you are going through.

In the month of August our Crisis Team received:

·        406 Total Calls

·        138 Emails

·        76 New Text Message Threads

·        2-3 Voice Messages Daily

Make a donation below to help us reach our September Suicide Awareness Donation Goal. 100% of the funds will be used in effort to reach 3 primary goals:

·        Certify our hotline nationally

·        Educate and license our Crisis volunteers

·        Increase our reach to save more lives

With your help, we can be the last hope that someone needed.
