On June 13, 2014 The Fathers’ Rights Movement held it 1st Annual Fatherless Day rally simultaneously at the Capitol Building in Washington DC and 30 state capitols. Turn out was approximately 800 nationwide. Turn out varied by state with some states only having a handful of people attending, while others such as Pennsylvania saw as many as 60 attend. On average each state that participated had approximately 20 – 25 in attendance.
We made National media coverage on our second appearance on The Stream hosted by the Al Jazeera America network and made several local papers in participating states as well.
We hope that next year on Friday June 19, 2015 you and your family will consider joining your voice and presence to ours for our 2nd annual Fatherless Day rally promoting Equal shared parenting between separating parents. We hope this year to have a rally take place in ALL 50 state capitols and Washington DC simultaneously and hope to increase our numbers of active participants so that we can let our legislature elect know that children deserve both parents in their lives after a divorce or separation.
When and where are DC and Richmond, VA rallies taking place?
